ALVEA Services launches secure public cloud hosting service to provide businesses with flexible and dynamic IT services

Secure, virtual servers can be in use in a matter of minutes.

ALVEA Services has launched its ALVEA Infrastructure Service. The new Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) has been designed for organisations that may need to vary their computing capabilities at a moment’s notice to match the changing needs of their business. Rather than have to invest in an IT infrastructure that may lie redundant when full capacity is not required, with ALVEA Infrastructure organisations can now quickly and easily provision additional virtual servers when they need them. This is particularly important for project-based businesses, those that operate around seasonal fluctuations in demand or those that may need additional resource for testing or short-term data processing.

A key feature of the new service is its secure data seeding capability, either via encrypted hard disk or high-speed Internet transfer, which allows businesses to move their data to the cloud quickly and securely. ALVEA Infrastructure’s simple user interface allows instant provisioning of IT security and cloud services with a pay-as-you go model so that IT departments can react quickly to the changing needs of their businesses and only pay for the computing power they use. The new service has a UK-based data centre at its core, built to comply with stringent data sovereignty and security requirements and operated by IT security and data centre management specialists.

The service is delivered and supported by an established network of IT and security resellers that provide technical support and advice on how ALVEA Infrastructure can be fully integrated into an organisation’s existing IT environment.

“Today’s businesses demand a very dynamic, integrated, cost-effective and service-led approach to IT, which is exactly what cloud computing can provide,” said Neil Gardner, ALVEA Services proposition manager. “Small and medium sized businesses, that may not have their own dedicated IT resources, need to know that the transition to or integration with a cloud solution can be simple and painless. ALVEA Infrastructure provides an easy-to-use dashboard and straightforward data seeding service to get businesses up and running quickly, whenever the need arises.”

To demonstrate just how easy it is for businesses to integrate a public cloud into their existing IT infrastructure, ALVEA is offering businesses free trials of the service, for a limited period of time, and inviting them to ‘try before you buy’ to test out the flexibility of the new service. Full details of the offer can be found at www.alvea-services.com/trial.

“Our nationwide network of ALVEA resellers has been trained in all aspects of integrating and supporting ALVEA Services. Companies of all sizes can draw on our partners’ technical expertise and understanding of their business needs to build ALVEA Infrastructure into their current IT department,” said Neil Gardner.
The launch of ALVEA Infrastructure is a major milestone in the development of secure and easy-to-use cloud services. ALVEA Infrastructure uses best-of-breed, proven cloud orchestration technology that enables on-demand, fully automated provisioning of cloud services. The ALVEA Infrastructure data centre is housed in one of Europe’s state-of-the art Tier Three premium carrier-neutral data centres in London and conforms to key industry certifications including ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.
