CohesiveFT announces Free Trial Edition for VNS3, technical update

CohesiveFT offers broader use base for SDN product, VNS3, now offers cloud networking webinar series.

CohesiveFT has announced the new VNS3 Free Edition. The Free Edition is a fully licensed Edition of CohesiveFT's Software Defined Networking (SDN) product, VNS3.


The Free Edition is ideal for companies using public cloud for development, testing and production environments. Previously there was a 3 month limit on the "trial edition." Now organizations can test VNS3 for as long as needed with full VNS3 capabilities. CohesiveFT's VNS3 Edition Matrix compares the editions for each use case.

Along with the free edition updates, CohesiveFT announced the release of the 3.0.1 version of the product. Originally developed and released in 2008, VNS3 has evolved to become the leading application-controlled enterprise product.


The VNS3 3.0.1 update features:
· Outbound NAT capabilities
· Port forwarding
· Expanded VLAN integration
· SNMP support
· Easier Client configuration
· Enhanced Snapshot management

Assimil8 Limited uses VNS3 to help end customers connect and control public cloud deployments in IBM SmartCloud. Assimil8 and CohesiveFT's solution for the Energy Savings Trust is nominated for the DCS Awards Public Cloud Project of the Year. Tony Lovett, Supporting Consultant, Assimil8 said "the addition of SNMP support in VNS3 is essential in allowing us to securely monitor and manage our multiple customer deployments."


CohesiveFT is also offering a new three-part webinar series on cloud networking. The webinars will detail best practices and real life use cases for common cloud networking issues. The series will feature the new VNS3 3.0.1 update and use cases.
