Businesses turn to Dell and SAP

Customers select SAP HANA® with Dell hardware and services to gain efficiencies, scale and better decision-making.

Customers of all sizes, across geographies and vertical industries, have selected solutions from Dell and SAP to help speed decision making, scale new heights and deliver real-time analytics. Organizations are utilizing Dell hardware and services with SAP HANA® software to help them achieve quick data insights, maximize efficiencies and deliver competitive advantage to their business. Aareon AG, Atos and Gesellschaft für Information und Bildung (G.I.B) are a few of these pioneering customers.

Organizations require proactive insights into their business operations to respond quickly to changing market conditions. However, the sheer volume of operational data available often exceeds the amount of data that traditional disk-based systems can process within a reasonable time, resulting in inadequate access to information and unacceptable lag times. With Dell Active Infrastructure Solutions for SAP HANA, customers have a cost-effective and optimized way to help see fast results, maximize efficiency, increase scalability and availability, and reduce risk.

Aareon makes business processes four times faster
Aareon AG, a leading consultancy and provider of IT systems for the property sector, has offices in more than 27 locations across Europe and manages around 10 million rental units. Aareon deployed SAP HANA on Dell PowerEdge servers to drive growth by giving decision makers faster insight to business data.

“When we looked for an IT provider to deliver solutions for SAP HANA, Dell came closest to our demands,” said Christian Sanger, team leader, SAP division, Aareon AG. “Our customers’ employees can now complete reporting much more quickly than before because SAP HANA running on Dell servers makes their business processes four times faster.”

In addition to faster business processes, Aareon completed their implementation with expert support for SAP HANA from Dell Services. “As a result of the workshop on SAP HANA from Dell, personnel gained deep insight into the software and knowledge to begin working with the technology when it went live,” said Sanger.

Atos’s 10,000 consultants quickly gain skills with SAP HANA
International IT services company Atos supports around 5,000 systems running SAP® software globally and more than 1.3 million people who rely on the technology to deliver their business goals. In order to maintain its leading expertise in SAP solutions, Atos turned to Dell solutions for running SAP HANA to give its consultants worldwide access to SAP HANA.

“There’s a lot of interest in SAP HANA worldwide and it’s great that our consultants can offer the expertise that customers require using our Dell hardware,” said Michel Mertens, head of the Atos, Customer Center of Expertise for SAP solutions. “This really adds value to our innovative initiatives at the Atos SAP HANA Lab and Innovation center.”
