Your IT Works successfully re-certifies against the CIF Code of Practice

APM Group, the Cloud Industry Forum’s (CIF) independent certification partner, has announced that Your IT Works, a provider of bespoke cloud solutions, has successfully certified against the CIF Code of Practice for the second year running.

Based in Milton Keynes, Your IT Works is a global specialist provider of enterprise hosted desktop solutions and IT support services, including back-up and disaster recovery, enterprise wireless, and IT consultancy.

Having initially achieved the certification in early 2013, the CSP had no hesitations in renewing for a second year, having experienced significant benefits throughout the business, explained Tony Capewell, Director at Your IT Works:

“Businesses are becoming more savvy about cloud, and what it has to offer, but are also increasingly aware of issues such as data privacy, security, and data sovereignty. The Code of Practice tackles these issues head-on. It is important for customers to know that their data and applications will be properly supported and protected in cloud environments, and knowing that we are CIF certified instantly provides this reassurance.

“Having worked with CIF through the certification process, end users know that our services meet recognised industry standards. The scheme goes beyond the technical specifications required to deliver secure cloud services, and governs the way that we operate as a business, to ensure that we are fully transparent and accountable to our customers. As such, it is something that we are fully committed to as a business.”

Richard Pharro, APM Group’s CEO, added: “Your IT Works was one of the first companies to certify against the Code of Practice, and the fact that it has found value from certifying is a tremendous testament to what we sought out to achieve when the Code of Practice was originally established.”
