Zenium appoints MD

Zenium Technology has confirmed the appointment of Matt Pullen as Managing Director. Pullen has been a key player in the data centre sector for over fifteen years and his new role at Zenium is expected to ensure that the company meets its aggressive growth targets for 2014. Pullen’s remit will be to support the day-to-day management of the business, overseeing portfolio acquisitions as well as acting as the primary interface with investors.

With a wealth of industry knowledge, Pullen has already been instrumental in supporting Zenium’s entry, helping to refine the Zenium business plan and secure significant levels of funding for the company’s global ambitions. The Zenium management team’s long association with Pullen goes back to the early days of the telecom boom and he has since helped to establish Sentrum in the UK and was instrumental in the sale of that business to Digital Realty in 2012.

Prior to joining Zenium, Pullen was the Head of Global Corporate Services EMEA at CBRE, leading a significant organisation delivering outsourced real estate services to major corporates across the EMEA region. In this role he developed the first real estate data centre advisory team.

Commenting on the appointment, Franek Sodzawiczny, CEO at Zenium said, “Securing Matt in the role of Managing Director is a major coup for the business and marks the start of an exciting new chapter in our growth. With his data centre pedigree and corporate real estate relationships, his appointment adds tremendous strength to the company. I have no doubt that he will take the company confidently forward, thanks to his ability to make bold business decisions, and am delighted that he is now part of the management team. On a personal level, I have known Matt for years and he’s more than proven in that time that he’s a results- orientated individual with excellent knowledge of this sector. Those are the fundamental foundations that the Zenium business has been built upon so he is an ideal fit for the company.”

Pullen added, “Zenium may well be a relatively new entrant to the data centre sector but our determined and revolutionary approach is already setting us well apart from the rest of the market. My objective is to now create a community that identifies with Zenium as a dynamic, market-changing organisation which in turn will enable us to identify new and exciting opportunities.”
