LDeX Group expands colocation offering with AWS Cloud Services

LDeX to provide direct on-site access to the world’s largest cloud provider, AWS.

The LDeX Group has expanded its colocation and network services offering by providing customers with direct on-net access at its 22,000 sq. ft London based data centre LDeX1 facility via euNetworks to the world’s largest cloud services provider, Amazon Web Services.

On top of providing carrier neutral data centre and diverse network connectivity services, customers of LDeX will now be also able to make private connections to the AWS cloud with infrastructure cloud. This move will enable customers to use Amazon’s cloud infrastructure with minimal levels of latency and high rates of throughput. It will also enable them to have the choice of using hybrid environments for scaling their infrastructure and disaster recovery needs.

Robin Garbutt, CEO of the LDeX Group commented: ‘By leveraging AWS Direct Connect inside the LDeX facility via its euNetworks AWS enabled and approved partner, customers will be able to take advantage of cost, performance, and scalability benefits of hybrid environments, which will look to remove barriers to adoption and enable SMBs to realise deliver on the promise of cloud.’’

Existing LDeX customers will be able to connect to AWS Direct Connect inside the LDeX1 data centre via a simple cross-connect that can be established within days. Customers will be able to achieve sub millisecond latency between their infrastructure and AWS infrastructure, resulting in improved application performance and security.

He added ‘This move is a crucial development for LDeX making it that much easier for customers to find the right fit for their infrastructure requirements. We hope to be able to continue to enhance customer offerings by listening to market needs including the requirement to access cloud platforms for which we believe AWS cloud services represent an ideal platform.’
