Sophos presented the awards to Softcat’s Sophos team, led by account manager Adam Price, at its partner awards at the Hilton London Metropole last Thursday.
Softcat’s managing director Colin Brown expressed his delight at winning the esteemed awards: “We’ve spent years developing and strengthening our relationship with Sophos and these awards are welcome recognition of the extremely hard work of our sales team. As a company Sophos are fantastic to partner with – everyone at Softcat enjoys working with them and we anticipate the relationship will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Softcat account manager Richard Steel said: “Our long relationship with Sophos means we’ve become adept at positioning its products to customers and implementing the software. We have our own dedicated support team at Sophos enabling us to provide an extremely high level of service to our customers. We did particularly well with Sophos’ unified threat management (UTM) network security package this year, and this is an area in which we expect to see continuing growth.”
He added, “Sophos’ security solutions are very popular – our customers like the fact that it’s UK-based, and that its security solutions are so comprehensive; it allows customers to choose multiple solutions from a single provider. removes the need for them to subscribe to security solutions from multiple providers.”
James Vyvyan, Regional VP UK & Ireland, Sales at Sophos, said: “As a 100% channel organization Sophos recognises the valuable role our partners play in helping us to protect customers from security threats, and we want to celebrate their success. At the Sophos EMEA Partner Conference, Softcat excelled by winning two of our Annual Partner Awards. Not only did they win UK Partner of the year 2014 but also Mid-Market Partner of the year for 2014. Well done to all of the Softcat team and I look forward to working with them in FY15.”
These two recent awards follow Softcat’s 2013 Sophos ‘mid-market partner of the year’ award win, and the 2012 Sophos ‘EMEA partner of the year’ award and ‘corporate reseller of the year’ award.
