Infinity Network Solutions, a cloud and managed services provider in Canada, has chosen NAKIVO Backup & Replication to introduce cloud-based backup and disaster recovery services for VMware environments.

Business interruption and data loss are two events that can cripple an organization, resulting in the loss of revenue, reputation, customers, and sometimes even bankruptcy. Ensuring that the organization can continue to operate even after a natural disaster or major infrastructure failure are some of the key challenges that IT managers are facing today.

On-site backups do not help to protect against natural disasters or major infrastructure failures, while offsite backup and replication are CAPEX intensive and require businesses to keep and maintain a dedicated disaster recovery infrastructure in a cold state. To protect against data loss and ensure business continuity while keeping the costs low, businesses are seeking cloud data protection services for their IT environments. Given that most organizations have already virtualized their business-critical workloads, the ability to back up and recover VMware VMs in a cloud is a must.

According to MarketsandMarkets, the global Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service and business continuity market is estimated by to grow from $640.8 million in 2013 to $5.77 billion by 2018. This represents a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 55.2% from 2013 to 2018.

Leveraging NAKIVO Backup & Replication, Infinity Network Solutions has developed its cloud-based backup and disaster recovery offering, which enables enterprises to protect their VMware environments and recover in the cloud in case of a disaster or infrastructure failure. Infinity Network Solutions delivers a hybrid cloud service that enables local backup and replication at the customer site for fast operational recovery, as well as offsite backup and replication for disaster recovery in the cloud. “NAKIVO has enabled us to introduce a fast and cost-effective offering for VMware virtualized environments. We are now providing cloud-based backup and recovery services for our enterprise customers using NAKIVO Backup & Replication”, said Tom Bovingdon, President, Infinity Network Solutions. “Additionally, with NAKIVO we can enable our customers to manage their backups through NAKIVO’s customizable self-service interface as well as enable them to instantly recover files and emails from their cloud-based backups.”

“We are pleased that NAKIVO was selected by Infinity Network Solutions to be at the core of their cloud-based disaster recovery offering”, said Bruce Talley, CEO and Co-Founder of NAKIVO. “NAKIVO Backup & Replication provides an extensive set of powerful features for VMware VM backup and replication to protect virtualized IT environments.”
