Raritan joins Data Centre Alliance

Raritan, a leader in data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) and power distribution, has joined industry representative body Data Centre Alliance (DCA). The Data Centre Alliance is an international not-for-profit association representing the interests of data centre operators, consultants, equipment manufacturers and individual professionals in the data centre infrastructure sector.

“The DCA brings together data centre experts from around the globe to help shape the future of our industry”, said Raritan’s Richard May. “We at Raritan have seen the good work that the DCA is doing for the industry internationally and decided that we should play our part in helping to develop the industry’s professional standing and development of best-practices.

“Although still being a fairly young industry, the data centre sector is growing fast. Industry organisations like the DCA are essential to keep everybody up to speed with the latest developments”, continued May, adding that Raritan looks forward to working with peer vendors, consultants, academics and data centre operators to discuss future technologies and trends and how these can help the industry better contribute to the common good.

Raritan was founded in 1985 and has gone from start-up to global data centre solutions powerhouse over the course of three short decades. As a result, Raritan today is the industry leader in data centre infrastructure management (DCIM), intelligent power management, and remote KVM management.

Said May, “We see becoming member of DCA as a two way street. We will of course gain significant benefits from being actively involved in the alliance but we also see that, as a major player in the industry, it is our responsibility to actively participate and share our own expert knowledge for the betterment of the entire industry.”
“The DCA is delighted to gain Raritan’s support and involvement. As a proven innovator of data centre sector power management solutions for data centres of all sizes, together with a footprint in over 76 countries and 50,000 locations worldwide, I’m sure Raritan's membership of the DCA will help the collective objective to further improve the energy efficiency, reliability, and productivity of data centres”, said Simon Campbell-Whyte Executive Director, DCA.
