iStorage will be addressing data security issues in the Middle East following the announcement that its range of unique USB flash and portable hard drives with PIN code access will now be available in the region for the first time. Panorama Consulting and Business Solutions has been named as the official distributor of the products in this market.

As a region, the Middle East prides itself on its progressive attitude towards new technology, with strong interest in the latest technologies and approaches. There is also a growing cultural preference to keep data secure. While there are currently no regulations in place specifying the need for ultra-secure portable storage devices in the Middle East, there is a demand for it. Panorama believes in providing its professional clients – including Government and Financial Service Providers – with guidance on the importance of adopting rigorous security processes.

“Through partnership with iStorage, we are able to provide Financial Services, Telecommunication, Private and Government sectors with the highest quality data security storage devices that meet their adopted security standards implementation,” states Marwan Zalloum, Managing Partner of Panorama Consulting and Business Solutions. “The devices are unique and provide comprehensive security measures that the Middle East demands at this time when data security is paramount.”

“The firms that have previewed iStorage’s secure storage solutions to date have been particularly interested in the FIPS certification that demonstrates the process that these products have been through to meet international standards. These organisations have security programs in place and endeavour to minimise data leakage through the accidental loss of sensitive information,” adds Marwan Zalloum. “We are confident that iStorage will have significant demand from companies in the Middle East looking to address corporate security concerns, as well as at an individual level for people wishing to keep their sensitive data secure.”

iStorage, which will be exhibiting at GITEX Technology Week at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 12-16 October, provides a range of 256-bit military grade AES hardware encrypted USB flash drives and external hard drives that offer a range of digital and physical security measures to ensure confidential business data is always secure when on the move. The range includes the highly secure datAshur USB drive, the diskAshur PRO portable hard drive and the recently launched datAshur Personal for consumers.

“The Middle East has not seen anything like the iStorage product range before and there has already been a great deal of interest to adopt the technology,” states John Michael, Founder and CEO of iStorage. “We are delighted to partner with Panorama Consulting and Business Solutions to establish a strong presence in the region where we strongly believe there is great potential for iStorage’s products and growing awareness of the need for robust data security.”
