MapR Technologies appoint Jacob Zätterström as sales director for Nordics

Former Microsoft and VMware executive to lead MapR's continued customer success and expansion across Nordic region.

MapR Technologies, Inc. has announced the appointment of Jacob Zätterström as sales director for the Nordic region following successful roles at Sitecore, VMware and Microsoft.


Prior to joining MapR, Zätterström was Swedish managing director for Sitecore, a global leader in customer experience management software where he successfully led a growing team and consistent business expansion. Zätterström also spent nearly six years at VMware including a senior role as strategic alliances manager for Northern Europe where he helped to manage joint ventures between partners and bring different business leaders into successful joint value propositions.


Over his 20 year career within information technology, Zätterström also spent two spells at Microsoft including a role as enterprise l sales manager within the Nordics where he worked extensively with partners across the region. The appointment also coincides with a new office in Sweden which will act as a base for an expanding technical and sales support team under Zätterström’s direction.

Over the last 12 months, MapR has opened new offices and appointed country managers in the Nordics, the Netherlands and Germany. The expansion complements existing offices located in France and European headquarters in the UK.
