VIRTUS announces momentum and customer win successes at new LONDON2 Data Centre in Hayes

Demand for VIRTUS intelligent data centre services boosts sales by 127 per cent in Q3.

VIRTUS Data Centres Ltd. has announced four new customer wins and the extension of three existing customer contracts into its new state-of-the-art LONDON2 data centre in Hayes. These wins demonstrate VIRTUS’ continued success as London’s fastest growing data centre provider.

VIRTUS new customer wins include: legal focused managed service provider Accesspoint; hedge fund Andurand Capital Management; managed service provider VMHost; and image database WildScreen. In addition, VIRTUS has also announced the extension of existing customers including: Bitcoin miner, ASIC Runner; connectivity provider euNetworks; and managed services providers Exponential-e and C4L from Enfield based LONDON1 into its Hayes LONDON2 data centre.

Lee Wade, CEO, Exponential-e says: “Working with VIRTUS Data Centres will enable us to deliver customers with intelligent and efficient cloud capabilities. We have already taken significant footprint at the LONDON1 site in Enfield, which we are doubling this quarter; and are committed to grow further with VIRTUS in LONDON2 at Hayes by the end of the year. Your cloud is only as good as your network, and by using VIRTUS Data Centres we are ensuring our customers have access to one of the most highly connected, cost effective, scalable and low latency clouds in London.”

Daniel Epps, Head of Technology, Andurand Capital Management says: “We approached VIRTUS Data Centres because of the uniquely flexible commercial model, low power costs, high availability and the connectivity offered by its London data centres. In addition, the VIRTUS Intelligent Portal will provide us with complete transparency into our usage, not provided by any other colocation data centre provider without extra cost, meaning we can scale our space, cooling and energy requirements to meet our business needs.”

Kevin Dean, Chief Marketing Officer of euNetworks says: “VIRTUS’ LONDON2 data centre brings a new generation of colocation offering to the London market. This combined with our fibre based metropolitan network and technical expertise delivers a great proposition for customers. We are excited to be working with VIRTUS and look forward to a long lasting relationship, providing them with scalable bandwidth to meet their growing demands.”

Darren Watkins, Sales Director, VIRTUS Data Centres says: “We’re delighted to announce these new wins at VIRTUS Data Centre sites in London. Our ability to provide customers with complete transparency through the VIRTUS Intelligent Portal with DCIM, and flexible contracts allowing them to flex their space and power requirements up or down depending on their usage needs, are driving demand for space in our LONDON2 data centre in Hayes. Given the success achieved by LONDON2 in the short amount of time it’s been open for business, we‘re excited about what this means for the rest of this year and 2015.”
