AIT Partnership Group Ltd, the leading UK integrator of Data Centre & Infrastructure Management Software (DCIM) announced today successful integration of AIT PIMs enterprise energy management software into Hampshire County Council’s Winchester Data Centre.
The solution protects the Council’s investment in intelligent PDUs with an improved easy to use web browser management interface. Management dashboards provide energy and thermal maps of the racks along with comprehensive reporting and alerting functions.
“The rack monitoring component of our AIT PIMs software is able to collect data from 3rd party power strips and meters. Its open standard format and flexibility is the key to its success.” said Steven Bailey, Managing Director, AIT Partnership Group Ltd.
The Hampshire County Council data centre team use AIT PIMs to optimise cooling, raise supply air temperatures in-line with ASHRAE guidelines, reduce cooling costs, shrink their carbon footprint and lower their electricity costs. The initiative is part of Hampshire County Council’s drive to reduce carbon emissions by 20% by 2016.
