Channel partnership strengthens resilience offering for K3 Hosting

The enterprise market can now benefit from heightened IT and business security when deploying the K3 Cloud, after global IT consultancy firm K3 Hosting agreed a channel partnership with business continuity and compliance management expert PinBellCom.

The new partnership enables K3 Hosting to significantly strengthen its security provision by offering customers an extensive analytical approach to business continuity planning through PinBellCom, in tandem with any cloud or managed service contract from K3 Hosting. The process covers a range of modules including business impact assessment, risk validation, continuity deployment, and resilience planning. Although K3 Hosting already offers extensive backup and disaster recovery services to customers through an international network of secure datacentres, Stuart Buckley, Head of Channel and Alliances, said that this new partnership will provide even greater peace of mind to customers.

“The importance of business continuity planning for the enterprise market has never been more obvious, with so many threats to business data in existence today. Even with the greatest cloud and on premise server security, businesses can still be vulnerable to hackers, natural disasters and external threats. A well thought out and implemented business continuity plan, aligned to the business strategy, can work alongside hosted vendor services to offer total peace of mind and minimise disruption in the event of a data attack.”

Lost revenue from business downtime in the UK averages £138,000 for every single hour of business disruption, according to research carried out by the Aberdeen Group last year. PinBellCom works with businesses in the retail, manufacturing, health and logistics industries to provide practical continuity planning, management and maintenance. Working with partners such as K3 Hosting PinBellComaligns business resilience plans with the IT capabilities, to minimise downtime and restore systems promptly following any external attack or breach.

David Coverdale, Director at PinBellCom said: “It is vital that businesses continually review their key dependencies and recovery options ahead of a major incident. We ensure that the process of continuity planning is passed to the client to manage, maintain and continuously improve. By working with K3 Hosting, we can help their clients realise cost savings and process changes through effective continuity planning as well as being able to promote K3’s secure cloud and managed services to our own customer base.”

The partnership comes hot-on-the-heels of a recent announcement from K3 Hosting that it is now a channel partner for Webroot, a move that has strengthened K3’s Managed Services offering.
