Adapt cements its relationship with EMC

Builds Cloud services on cutting edge flash storage.

As announced back in September 2014, Adapt became the first service provider in Europe to launch a complete production software defined data centre, the Habitat, built on EMC’s SDDC vision, which is already over 90% utilised against our initial investment. Today the relationship continues to pay off as Adapt leverages EMC’s cutting edge XtremIO to develop advanced consumption-based infrastructure services to the mid-market and enterprise.

XtremIO allows Adapt to supercharge its storage-based ‘as a’ services with cutting edge performance and responsiveness. This gives Adapt customers access to massive performance capabilities on demand and the ability to tap into deduplication and high performance storage for anything from business critical applications through to high volume desktop and database services. XtremIO s is now the default platform for Adapt’s desktop and database services.

“XtremIO is really the only choice for service providers who want to deliver the ultimate in user experience. EMC is our exclusive choice for all our Flash Array,” said Kevin Linsell, Director, Strategy & Architecture. “This product brings a level of functionality to our overall enterprise cloud integrator approach that we just don’t see with other vendors. And collaborative, effective service provider/ vendor relationships EMC and Adapt are win-win-win: ultimately they deliver more agility, control and enablement to customers.”

Russell Poole, Partner Sales Director for EMC in UKI, agrees, “Adapt are taking a lead in realising the significant benefits of XtremIO to the service provider world. Indeed, the whole market is rapidly adopting flash technologies, with XtremIO taking an industry leading position. We are proud of the way our relationship has evolved with Adapt over recent years, and look forward to accelerated growth as the emerging EMC technologies are deployed”.
