The combination of QLogic’s long history of networking innovation and Cloudera’s leadership in big data enables customers to create and implement comprehensive, full-featured big data solutions. QLogic FastLinQ 3400 Series adapters accelerate access to critical data with industry-leading 10GbE performance. These OEM-proven adapters enhance software-defined and virtualized environments by removing bottlenecks and optimizing quality of service.

“Swelling data volumes, increasingly complex data sets and security challenges have made it difficult for organizations to efficiently process vast amounts of data through traditional applications,” said Vikram Karvat, vice president of products, marketing and planning, QLogic. “Data-driven organizations are increasingly turning to emerging analytics capabilities to accelerate data processing and increase business agility. QLogic 10GbE adapters, combined with Cloudera Enterprise 5, empower institutions to take a data-centric approach to resolving these challenges.”

“We created the Cloudera Certified Technology program to make it simpler for our customers to choose the right components and software applications to extract the most value from their data,” said Tim Stevens, vice president of Corporate and Business Development at Cloudera. “Cloudera Certified products such as QLogic FastLinQ 3400 Series adapters have been validated to work seamlessly with Cloudera Enterprise 5 to ensure easy integration and optimal I/O networking synergy.”

QLogic FastLinQ 3400 Series adapters are fully adopted by every major tier-1 OEM server manufacturer and have been tested and validated to comply with Cloudera software and development guidelines, including:

• Overall architecture
• Observance of the Hadoop interface classification system
• Complete integration testing
