Raritan promotes Ralf Ploenes to VP Sales-EMEA

Ralf Ploenes has been promoted to Vice President Sales for the Raritan’s European, Middle East and African (EMEA) region.

Mr. Ploenes joined Raritan in 2012 as Managing Director for the German office to lead the sales activities for the D-A-CH region. He will report to Rasul Damji, Raritan’s Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Product Operations, and will continue to operate from the Raritan Customer Briefing Center in Dusseldorf.

Prior to joining Raritan, Mr. Ploenes had worked for more than 15 years in the data center and IT infrastructure industry, where he held a number of product management and business development management roles. A frequent speaker at data center conferences and events, he is well versed in data centers and in their electrical and infrastructure requirements, and has a proven track record in driving innovative solutions to market. Mr. Ploenes has a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Commenting on his new role at Raritan, Mr. Ploenes said: “I am extremely excited to be part of the team that has been driving Raritan’s growth initiatives through our technology leadership, continuous innovation, excellent partner network and outstanding customer value. This new position allows me to look at new markets and larger geographies at a time when more and more data center operators are seeing the need for energy management and monitoring to reduce their growing operating expenses.

Being located at the Raritan Customer Briefing Center allows me to engage with our partner and customer base frequently. For me, it’s critical to hear first-hand from customers about their challenges so that we can develop solutions that truly address their pain points and pave the way for long-lasting relationships.”

Recognizing Mr. Ploenes capabilities, Mr. Damji added: “Ralf has been a key sales leader over the past few years helping to drive our growth. We know he is the right person to continue our upward trajectory as we expand our solution portfolio to help customers optimize data center efficiency in 2015 and beyond. Ralf has demonstrated exemplary skills on guiding customers towards ROI and efficiency-driven solutions for mission critical data centers. We are truly delighted to have Ralf lead Raritan’s sales efforts in EMEA.”
