Interoute is the only UK Head Quartered Service Provider to be awarded a MEF 2.0 certification and one of only ten European providers to reach this heightened industry standard. This certification covers the entirety of the Interoute global network and certification to this level means Interoute is able to fast-track technical discussions and interconnections, whether connecting to other carriers, customer networks or cloud services.

Interoute offers layer one to layer seven products and services, from the ground to the cloud. A core asset is its European network, which underpins its ability to provide services to 98% of Europe's tier one and two carriers, while also acting as the foundation of its global cloud service platform. As a result of a greater demand for connectivity industry wide, standards are increasingly important. As a globally-recognised stamp of approval the MEF 2.0 certification will therefore support Interoute with meeting the rising demand for interconnectivity between networks.

Renzo Ravaglia, EVP Service Provider at Interoute, commented: "Speed, quality and high levels of service delivery are crucial to our success and this accreditation further strengthens our proposition. This also confirms to our customers that Interoute uses industry leading practices, and meets established quality and performance thresholds in the way we deliver our Ethernet services."

Nan Chen, President of the MEF said "The MEF congratulates Interoute for the outstanding achievement of passing the rigorous testing associated with MEF CE 2.0 certification, which represents the gold standard for service performance in the global marketplace. "Interoute has long had a reputation for being an innovative pan-European service provider, and CE 2.0 certification is a clear demonstration of the company's ability to deliver leading-edge solutions."
