Presented during IBM’s PartnerWorld Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, the award represents the latest milestone in an enduring and successful history between SCC and IBM.
As IBM’s longest standing channel partner and number one in EMEA, with a UK market share of over 30%, SCC has enjoyed a 30+ year relationship with IBM and was the first company to achieve Elite Business Partner status.
IBM’s Beacon Awards is a central and vital element of IBM’s Business Partner recognition program. It recognises the best solutions that IBM Business Partners deliver across its business and around the world.
Business Partners are invited to nominate themselves for the Beacon Awards, however the IBM Choice Award is nominated by a cross-IBM executive team from Europe, with SCC taking the headline gong.
SCC Chief Executive James Rigby said: “I am delighted that SCC has been selected for this prestigious award. Our relationship with IBM and our shared successes are very important to us.”
“The fact that SCC has been recognised in the form of IBM’s top Choice Award is a fantastic achievement. We have a wonderful business partnership with IBM and look forward more future successes together.”
Marc Dupaquier, general manager, IBM Global Business Partners added: “The IBM Choice Awards recognize Business Partners around the world for their commitment to IBM values and client satisfaction, as we help clients navigate the new cognitive era."
"SCC has consistently served as a trusted advisor in readying clients for the transformation that cognitive technologies will bring.”
The IBM Choice Award for Top Business Partner, Europe is SCC’s second significant award win in the last three months having been named Managed Services Provider of the Year by CRN at its annual Channel Awards in November 2015.
