Bynet extends portfolio

Actifio, the copy data virtualisation company, has expanded its presence in Israel via a strategic partnership with Bynet Data Communications, a leading systems integrator and service provider. Based in Israel, Bynet brings Actifio Copy Data Virtualisation to clients around the world via new cloud services, and will roll out its new Cloud Services Initiative to existing and new customers.

Bynet was established in 1975 and is part of the Rad-Bynet Group, composed of more than 20 high-tech companies. The company has direct access to a wide range of IT infrastructure and network solutions. As a leading Israeli systems integrator, cloud and managed service provider with an international customer base Bynet covers a wide portfolio of services. These include sophisticated data centre infrastructures, various services around virtualisation; data centre transformation and migrations, as well as Data Lifecycle Management. In addition, Bynet offers solutions for big data and analytics, disaster recovery, business continuity and data backup.

With copy data virtualisation technology, delivered via Actifio’s Virtual Data Pipeline™, Bynet takes the next big step. The company will now be able to offer its current services not only faster and with better quality, but also add completely new services and products to make their customers more agile.

An important part is Bynet’s new cloud initiative based on Actifio. The essential benefit of the new cloud offering is its agility, which is directly related to Actifio’s platform for data virtualisation. The Bynet-Cloud will help companies to obtain services faster and to develop their own applications more quickly and efficiently. The services include IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), DaaS (Desktop as a Service) and BaaS (Backup as a Service), DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) as well ITaaS (IT as a Service).

“Our new data centre will benefit immensely from Actifio’s platform for data virtualisation,” said Guy Bergman, Head of Cloud Division Computing at Bynet. “We offer companies of any size and industry all services that modern organisations require. In addition, we will also modernise our own backup system with Actifio and offer our customers a Copy Data Cloud. Our technically versed customers know that they can only achieve relatively small gains in agility, flexibility and efficiency through hardware. The data-focused approach with copy data virtualisation from Actifio, however, opens up fundamentally new potential which we will exploit step by step.”

“In Israel’s sophisticated IT market, many enterprises have recognised the importance of application data and recognise how its efficient management and intelligent use can be an enabler of business agility,” said Chris Hammans, Managing Director for EMEA at Actifio. “With Bynet we now have a partner on board that can service this demand in Israel. Bynet puts data in the centre of their services, a data-centric view Actifio shares entirely, and can support with the only enterprise-class copy data virtualisation platform.”
