Managed Services Provider Sagiss partners with nGenx

Sagiss, a managed services provider (MSP) based in Texas, has chosen nGenx nFinity® nWorkspace™ to support customers who are looking to transition their on-premise workspace to the cloud. Driven by customer demand, the partnership opens up new market opportunities for Sagiss which had not previously embraced the virtual desktop due to price point considerations.

Founded in 1992, Sagiss is an MSP serving small to mid-sized businesses in north Texas. Through expert planning, management and support, Sagiss is a trusted IT partner for leading organizations in a variety of industries. With a range of customized solutions, Sagiss can serve as a fully outsourced IT staff, supplement in-house teams, or assist with special projects and strategic initiatives.

When a Texas-based oil and gas company needed to replace its existing cloud solution provider (CSP), Sagiss turned to nGenx. “We were somewhat skeptical of the cloud and suggested the customer install an on-premise server, but they were dedicated to the idea of maintaining a cloud solution,” said Jim Lancaster, CTO, Sagiss. “We weren’t interested in developing our own solution, so we decided to bring in a cloud services provider. We learned of nGenx about 18 months ago from an MSP whose opinion we regard very highly and, when I discovered nGenx would be at last year’s IT Nation, made it a point to meet up with them at the show. When the oil and gas customer came to us looking for a cloud solution, nGenx was the first call I made.”

Lancaster adds that “we found it an eye-opening experience in terms of how easy the solution was to roll out and how immediately well-received it was by the customer. In our experience, that is extremely rare. The set up was complete in 24 hours, and the data transferred in a matter of days. All the while, nGenx provided stellar customer service to address the few hiccups that occurred. The nGenx solution is pretty much a perfect product, and is now a go-to arrow in our quiver of IT solutions.”

The Sagiss customer is running Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google Earth, as well as nGenx nFinity® Drive 2.0, which synchronizes corporate data, allowing users to access and share business files and folders easily and securely.

“Generating a profit with other virtual desktop solutions was a challenge, but nGenx’s attractive price point solves that problem,” says Lancaster. “When you factor in the reduced support costs and an extremely satisfied customer, nGenx nFinity nWorkspace has been a win-win for everyone. We’re ready to address the growing WaaS market, and look forward to expanding our opportunities with nGenx.”
