SanDisk has introduced the SanDisk Technology Partner (STP) program, a collaborative platform for SanDisk and data centre partners to work together to design, develop and deliver integrated flash based storage solutions to joint customers. With 20 data centre ecosystem partners already participating, the new program offers certification, tools, resources, SanDisk flash storage expertise and complements SanDisk’s commitment to address the demand for extreme performance and massive capacity in the data center through flash storage and software-defined flash storage solutions.

The SanDisk Technology Partner program aims to deliver SanDisk certified[1] Independent Software Vendors’ (ISV) software and hardware integrated solutions across the compute, networking, and storage landscape. Through these flash-optimised, end-to-end solutions, data centre customers can potentially realise tangible benefits such as high performance, IT consolidation and lower overall total cost of ownership (TCO). SanDisk and its technology partners are addressing a wide range of data centre demands, including database management, virtualisation and big data applications such as content repositories, analytics and media services demand.

“The ever-increasing need to deliver higher performance, massive capacity and immediate access to data while controlling costs has created new demands on storage infrastructure,” said Gary Lyng, senior director marketing and strategy, data centre solutions at SanDisk. “The SanDisk Technology Partner program enables SanDisk to collaborate with the industry ecosystem, to deliver disruptive flash-optimisation across the solution-stack. It brings together industry-leading software and hardware data center focused solutions to drive real customer benefits.

The new data center ecosystem focused program is open to ISVs, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and System Integrators (SIs). It is designed to help expand the joint market opportunity through value added solutions for the end customers. It provides multiple benefits to participating partners, including:
·         A comprehensive certification process that assesses architectural compatibility, validated benchmark testing, product-level synergies, market expertise, and industry acceptance for the joint solutions;
·         Access to exclusive technical-enablement tools and resources;
·         Access to SanDisk’s flash storage expertise, spanning SAS and SATA SSDs, PCIe to all-flash storage systems;
·         The potential for selective joint Go-To-Market activities

“SanDisk and flash are synonymous. SanDisk built the flash industry on a reputation of quality and performance and has the broadest portfolio of flash storage options in the market today,” said Christian Marczinke, vice president, worldwide solution architecture at DataCore. “DataCore, through its Parallel-I/O architecture, is committed to driving ultra-low latency storage solutions with industry-best economics. DataCore is excited to deliver proven solutions to customers through the SanDisk Technology Partner program, such as CompuGroup, that drive innovation and significantly improve business outcomes for our customers."

“The combined synergies between SanDisk all-flash solutions and Nexenta’s software-defined storage solutions drive our increased market presence and sales reach to align with target workloads,” said Don Lopes, vice president, marketing and channels at Nexenta. “Together, we’ve provided customers, such as GleSYS Internet Services AB, with a comprehensive, low-cost architecture by combining NexentaStor with the InfiniFlashsystem and we look forward to new successes as a part of the SanDisk Technology Partner Program.”

“We are proud to support the SanDisk Technology Program. Our alliance aims to deliver the power of scale and performance of flash technology as never before, and we believe it has the potential to disrupt today’s traditional, proprietary storage market,” says Ranga Rangachari, vice president and general manager, storage at Red Hat. “Our customers now have an expanded portfolio of best-of-breed platforms, as SanDisk’s InfiniFlash System and Red Hat Ceph Storage have been tested, optimised, and certified together for optimal stability and performance.”

“Tegile’s mission is to accelerate the transformation of enterprise IT by changing the performance and economics of enterprise storage,” said Rob Commins, vice president, marketing at Tegile. “Our IntelliFlash HD all-flash storage arrays, with SanDisk’s InfiniFlash architecture, allow our customers to achieve business acceleration and unmatched data centre economics.”
