Storage Made Easy has formed a partnership with Scality, the leader in software-defined storage for the information age. The joint solution of SME and Scality offers customers the leading object storage solution with a fully enabled Enterprise File Share and Sync Fabric, allowing customers to provide storage access across global organizations and service providers.

“This partnership with Storage Made Easy is another great success for the Scality Application Partners Program as we continue to grow our enterprise applications portfolio. By granting greater access and availability to data in real time, our customers benefit from 100 percent uptime, flexible infrastructure and lower maintenance costs,” said Tom Leyden, Vice President Global Partner Marketing of Scality.

The joint solution of the Scality RING with the SME File Share and Sync Fabric helps customers to deploy enterprise applications such as file sharing and worldwide collaboration at massive scale, supporting millions of globally distributed users and petabytes of data. The joint solution features sync & share, search and enables secure access to Scality RING storage from any desktop, web or mobile device.

The Scality RING is a storage product designed for the digital economy. It supports any file and object application, on any hardware, with unlimited capacity and guaranteed reliability. The product also can seamlessly scale storage to match business growth, running on any standard x86 hardware. The RING is perfect for capacity-driven workloads such as cloud services, high-definition video, and enterprise archiving.

The Storage Made Easy EFSS Gateway provides a unified Enterprise File Share and Sync Fabric enabling companies to unify and access data wherever it is stored. For object storage-based data, the SME solution bridges the gap between object and file storage by providing users with a familiar view similar their existing file-based solutions. This enables companies to set strong user controls through the use of policies, including full event audits, wherever company users access the data. Data can also be locked down through the use of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) controls which are built into the SME solution.

The SME solution provides native Cloud Drives for Mac, Windows and Linux that integrate the Scality RING directly into the business desktop, as well as web and mobile apps for anywhere, anytime access.

“Many companies and enterprises are investigating object storage especially as companies find themselves faced with an ever growing amount of unstructured digital data that needs to be accessed on demand from any device or any location in a secure way. Storage Made Easy facilitates the secure audited access to this ever growing data pool from the desktop as a drive, from a mobile device, or even over standards based protocols such as FTP or WebDav,” said Storage Made Easy CEO Jim Liddle.

AXEZ, a data availability specialist and HP Platinum Converged Infrastructure partner, whom is also a RING reseller, already utilizes the Scality and SME solution to add to the company’s core automated storage-as-a-service (STaaS) offering.

“We are very excited about Scality and SME reinforcing their partnership: AXEZ chose the Scality-SME solution to offer our customers a secure enterprise File Share & Sync application leveraging HPE hardware. The tight collaboration between our three joint partners - HPE, Scality and SME - will only create more benefits for our customers.” said Ren? van Dop, CEO at AXEZ.
