To achieve its goal, Allianz Health Insurance is using Pegasystems’ Pega 7 rules-based technology as a middle layer in its IT systems. The integration will allow Allianz to achieve a seamless data flow between its agile customer applications and the insurance professional core systems. This will enable a faster and continuous transaction processing and increase the automation of processes.

“As an insurance company, we need stability and reliability in our IT systems. However, as a customer focused company, we must also balance that requirement with the need to remain agile and fast to meet changing customer demands,” said Dr. Birgit K?nig, CEO, Allianz Health Insurance. “Working with Pega has allowed us to reach the balance. It has changed the way we work as well and we’ve already seen a significant improvement in our work efficiency and quality.”
