ATTO Technology XstreamCORE achieves VMware Ready status

ATTO Technology says that its XstreamCORE™ Storage Controller has achieved VMware Ready™ status.

This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process the XstreamCORE 7500 has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/atto-technology-xstreamcore. 
XstreamCORE Storage Controllers feature ATTO’s xCORE data acceleration and eCORE control engine technology. These enable the XstreamCORE to achieve high performance with sub-4 microsecond latency while adding common, open storage services including routing and host and LUN zoning functions to attached JBOD, JBOF or RAID storage.
“By using ATTO’s XstreamCORE Storage Controller with VMware’s vSphere 6.0 enterprises can offload host server, fabric and network resources from up to 5200 MB/s of read/write traffic, effectively giving the VMware vSphere Hypervisor more server resources for running VMs,” said James U’Ren, Storage Controller product manager at ATTO Technology. “Additionally, applications such as cloning, vMotion, VM deployment and copying data between any attached storage benefit from overall improved performance.”
