DevTech has signed a global distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc.. The agreement will allow Ingram Micro to distribute vPoint, DevTech’s multi-cloud orchestration solution which simplifies the way cloud infrastructures are created, managed, consumed and grown, via the Ingram Micro Cloud platform.

vPoint is a technology and platform agnostic solution aimed at cloud service providers and telecommunication companies to simplify the lifecycle of their cloud infrastructure offering. vPoint reduces the provisioning service complexity and enables the end-user self-service through the customer’s cloud automation platform. As a result, the customer will increase operational efficiencies while reducing internal costs.

vPoint by DevTech brings together public and private cloud technologies within one simplified user experience. With VMware supported, DevTech is working on enabling Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google CE and OpenStack in the near future. In addition, vPoint will soon be available on the Ingram Micro Cloud platform, enabling partners to complement their own offering while selling IaaS in a much more effective way.

“Service providers and telecommunication companies around the world are increasing the number of different cloud infrastructure technologies in their offerings. As a result, they are faced with operational and business complexities which get transferred onto the end-customer. Cloud infrastructure should be less complex for the end-customer, and this is the goal we have set to achieve with vPoint. We are very excited to be working together with Ingram Micro to jointly deliver our solution to customers worldwide and bring service simplicity to the forefront,” Milovan Milic, CEO of DevTech said in a statement.

“Ingram Micro remains committed to helping businesses realize the promise of technology through cloud services and we are pleased to partner with DevTech to further expand on these efforts,” said Sean Oberholtzer, director, Cloud Business Development, Ingram Micro. “We look forward to providing our partners with a solution that enhances their IaaS offering and accelerates the growth of their cloud business.”
