Zscaler brings the Cloud closer with new Oslo data centre

Cloud security leader reiterates commitment to EMEA enabling customers with fast, secure user experience.

Zscaler has expanded cloud coverage in Oslo, Norway bringing improved user experience, coverage and secure internet connectivity closer to businesses and global companies in Norway.

Zscaler’s Oslo data centre, which brings 15 times more capacity when compared to the prior instalment, increases Zscaler’s cloud coverage in the region. Nordic customers can take advantage of a local and more reliable connectivity to the cloud and support their network transformation projects and mobile workforce. With this added cloud overage, Zscaler’s locally-delivered security services support not only security requirements, but as well network transformation by enabling companies to break out to the Internet at every location.

A fully expandable state of the art facility, the Zscaler Oslo data centre provides customers with:

  • Direct-to-cloud security that protects user and offices, while breaking free from costly appliances and legacy network infrastructure
  • Scaled traffic demands with no hardware or software to deploy means direct Internet connections can be established in minutes
  • Fast performance from any location with unlimited capacity
  • Local language capability and in country logging for a stream-lined user experience
  • Access to peering SD-WAN services with Zscaler partners to provide control over numerous locations

“The mobile worker going to a SaaS application just doesn’t need to be on the corporate network to get their job done. It’s very clear that the Internet is now the de facto corporate network as digital transformation is gathering momentum.  We are delighted to expand Zscaler cloud coverage to Oslo and provide our customers with the best-in-class security and user connectivity” said Matt Piercy, General Manager EMEA.

“Apps like Office 365, Salesforce and other SaaS are driving network transformation due to the fact that they perform best when accessed directly via a local Internet breakout and organisations are turning to us to enable and secure this transformation and connectivity their HQ, Branches and mobile workforce. Our goal at Zscaler is to power and secure the network transformation by providing the essential security, while eliminating the latency, administrative headache and scalability issues of on premise appliances,” added Piercy.
