Channel partners are set to benefit from increased opportunities to deliver world-class cloud backup to customers as the Master cloud service provider announces the addition of Dell’s Mozy Background to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace.
The award-winning cloud backup service from Dell gives end users the ability to schedule and automate backups, allowing users more time to focus on other business needs. Mozy Backup also includes Mozy Sync, which allows access across all devices whilst maintaining backed-up files in the cloud.
Ingram Micro Cloud’s channel partners – including MSPs, VARs, systems integrators and ISVs – can now easily purchase, configure and manage Mozy Backup via its automated platform, in the Cloud Marketplace. This will enable businesses to access files anywhere and anytime, securely backed by industry-leading technology and an all-inclusive pricing model for small to medium business (SMB) customers.
Apay Obang-Oyway, Director Cloud & Software, UK&I at Ingram Micro stated: “Alongside infrastructure and services, a secure backup capability is one of three strategic pillars for the Ingram Micro Ecosystem of Cloud, which were identified in alignment with core areas of forecasted growth in the channel. According to the Cloud Industry Forum, cloud adoption remains high with 78% of organisations using cloud services today and 63% foreseeing their entire data estates being hosted in the cloud.
“As the threat of cyberattacks and data hacks grow, backup systems are already at the top of end-users’ agendas and are in the minds of the C-suite as a matter of concern,” Obang-Oyway said. “Customers are going to be looking at their technology providers for protection, prevention, detection, mitigation, and total expertise to ensure that systems stay safe should data loss occur. Partners have a great opportunity to engage their customers on taking the necessary steps to ensure that if the worst happens, they will be able to retrieve important assets.
“We’re dedicated to helping our partners create new routes to market and adding additional revenue streams to enable growth” With Mozy Backup, our partners will benefit from the ability to offer a flexible, secure online backup service to customers that can be configured, deployed, and managed by a single web interface. Along with the ability to track and monitor every aspect of your customers backups (from initial setup/backup to usage reports and file restoration) with Mozy’s easy-to-use tools, customers will be able to focus on their business, because they know that their crucial data is protected with Mozy,” Obang-Oyway concluded.
