Companies using GCP can now benefit from the additional security capabilities provided by Rackspace Managed Security (RMS) to deliver enhanced breach detection and remediation, helping minimise the time cyber criminals spend in an environment and limit overall impact to the business.

With Rackspace Managed Security and Compliance Assistance for GCP, Rackspace is now a leading managed security services provider that offers services on all of the major public cloud platforms. In IDC's 2017 CloudView Survey of over 6,000 enterprise respondents, nearly 50 percent indicated concerns about security in the cloud, and about 40 percent cited superior security capabilities available from service providers as a major incentive to move to the cloud.? With RMS, Rackspace security experts help customers with strategic planning for best practice multi-cloud security, tactical day-to-day security monitoring and threat analysis to deter, detect and respond to potential threats around the clock.

“In today’s cybersecurity landscape, organisations are no longer asking if they should have a security solution in place, but rather whether they should do it themselves or partner with a trusted managed security services provider,” said Christy Schumann, general manager of Rackspace Managed Security. “As more organisations are moving to GCP to run critical workloads and security continues to be a business imperative, we are well positioned to deliver solutions for customer’s infrastructure and security needs.”

With Rackspace Managed Security and Compliance Assistance for GCP, businesses can layer additional active security on GCP to detect and respond to advanced cyberthreats. Rackspace utilises pre-approved actions to remediate security incidents. Partnering with a managed security services provider like Rackspace helps strengthen customers’ environments beyond the operational network and infrastructure security provided by most cloud providers. It also complements the strategic planning, architectural guidance and 24x7x365 operational support available through Managed Services for GCP.

“As a leading managed security services provider, Rackspace is building on the value it delivers to our GCP customers,” said John Foong, managing director, Partner Sales and Strategic Partnerships at Google Cloud. “Rackspace is an established leader in identifying and solving for security needs in organisations and we look forward to working together to address these needs.”
