Keysource wins China Telecom contract

China Telecom has awarded Keysource, the data centre and critical environment specialist, a contract for a major project for a leading Chinese finance house. Under the terms of the deal Keysource will be responsible for the installation of Huawei Modular Data Centre Infrastructure within an IT Hub in Central London.

The project will be completed in 3 phases, across nine months, as part of a wider conversion of existing office space into a new specialist IT Hub. Reporting into China Telecom, the Principal Contractor, Keysource’s remit includes the installation of all rack, power and mechanical infrastructure associated with the 60+ new server racks located on the 2nd floor of the new facility. Additional works associated with the mechanical installation across further multi-tenanted floors and the roof will also be delivered.

Yunting Wang at China Telecom, said: “Keysource is a great partner for us as they are highly experienced in specialist technology infrastructure installation and understand the standards required in the finance sector. The fact that they are able to self-deliver this project gives us extra reassurance.”

Richard Clifford, Head of Solutions and Innovation, said: “This is a prestigious project and we are proud to be part of the team that is developing this new specialist IT Hub.”
