Portman Partners invests in future expansion

Family investment firm, Meyer Mundell Limited, has completed the successful acquisition of the global executive search firm, Portman Partners, and announced plans for the continued expansion of services to the datacenter and digital infrastructure industry.

The principal of Meyer Mundell, Mike Meyer, joined Portman Partners as Managing Director in 2022, and has been working closely with the company founder, Peter Hannaford, in securing investment that will take the business to the next stage of its growth and meet the growing demands of an industry that is expanding exponentially worldwide.

“The investment will act as a catalyst to launch new services that will support businesses and the investment community that want to leverage the huge growth opportunity presented by the advent of artificial intelligence,” Mike explains.

“We will not only be launching new services and expanding our partnerships in areas such as the US and APAC, but also in emerging markets like Africa and Latin America which are fast becoming hotspots.”

Peter Hannaford, who started the business in 2018, will now focus on business development and account management globally, with Mike continuing to lead the business, ensuring an enhanced client and candidate experience, and maintaining Portman’s reputation as a trusted advisor.

Peter says this investment in Portman is coming at exactly the right time: “Billions of dollars are being invested each week to build the world’s digital infrastructure. This new investment means we can accelerate our plans to become the pre-eminent executive search consultancy in our space, who can respond to the needs of our existing clients and the new players who need to build the teams that will deliver growth.”

Portman Partners is dedicated to finding top talent for industry investors and their portfolio companies, hyperscale, cloud, colocation, edge and HPC datacenter operators, consultants and construction firms, tech and plant OEMs, connectivity providers and software and service providers globally. It recently placed a new CEO and CFO in the Nordics, working for a Private Equity Portfolio company, as well as the President (APAC) for a Global Hyperscale Datacenter provider.

“We are trusted advisors helping a diverse set of clients find, attract and build best-fit and future-ready leadership teams globally and have the network and reach required to headhunt and fill these critical positions across all business disciplines,” Mike concludes.
