Aalberts integrated piping systems highlights “Apollo”® Press® product line for the data center industry

This article explores Aalberts IPS's innovative "Apollo"® Press® product line, featuring state-of-the-art piping solutions tailored for modern data centre needs.

Aalberts integrated piping systems (IPS), a global leader in advanced integrated piping systems for the distribution and control of liquids and gases, highlights its “Apollo”® Press® product line of ball valves, check valves, and pressure-reducing valves. As part of the renowned “Apollo”® brand, this modular product line brings unmatched performance and versatility to data center applications. The line is well-suited for chilled water piping, closed-loop hydronic systems, and leak-detection-enabled installs.

The “Apollo”® Press® product line features a flame-free installation method, eliminating the need for hot work permits or fire watch for a faster, safer workflow. Central to its design is the Leak Before Press® technology, which provides immediate visual indication of unpressed connections during pressure testing, helping installers quickly verify system integrity. With a robust 300 PSI pressure rating and operating temperature range of 0 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, the “Apollo”® Press® system is built to withstand the demands of commercial installations, including potable water, HVAC systems, compressed air, and hydronic heating and cooling.

Precision-engineered features such as deep cup depths and pre-marked insertion points speed up the installation process while reducing the risks of misalignment and error. The full port press valves support optimal flow with minimal pressure drop, while the EPDM sealing elements offer excellent compatibility for potable water, HVAC, and general hydronic systems. Stainless grip rings and spacer rings ensure stronger pipe retention and reduce wear on the sealing element, supporting the long-term integrity of every connection made.

Aalberts IPS has designed the “Apollo”® Press® product line for maximum flexibility and system compatibility. The system works seamlessly with leading pressing tools, supports a broad diameter range from ½” to 4”, and enables modular product expansion with PEX, union, and dielectric connections, simplifying system design and transitions. The unique floating flange, a patented feature, helps maintain proper alignment with stationary surfaces for precise installation, even in challenging conditions. Manufactured in the USA, the product line meets the requirements for government and institutional projects and adheres to critical industry certifications and codes, including IAPMO PS-117, CSA TIL-MSE 13, NSF/ANSI 61 & 372, ICC-ES PMG-1148, ASME B16.51, and the National Plumbing Code of Canada.
