Vertiv, a digital infrastructure solutions provider, has enhanced its CoolPhase Perimeter PAM air-cooled range with new cooling system ratings and the CoolPhase Condenser. Now available across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), this helps demonstrate Vertiv's commitment to energy efficiency, environmental care, and operational durability.

With this advancement, improvements can be seen in both the Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), helping data centres extend system lifespan while maintaining operational resilience.

The updated system features the Vertiv EconoPhase Pumped Refrigerant Economizer (PRE), integrated into the CoolPhase Condenser. This technology reduces energy consumption by enhancing free cooling and system reliability, utilising a low-power pumped refrigerant circuit rather than traditional compressors, thereby saving space and energy.

The CoolPhase Perimeter PAM range utilises R-513A refrigerant, which has a 70% lower Global Warming Potential compared to R-410A. This choice ensures non-flammability, low toxicity, and compliance with the EU F-Gas Regulation, positioning the system as an eco-friendly option for data centre operators looking to curtail carbon emissions without sacrificing performance.

Key features of the CoolPhase Perimeter PAM include variable speed compressors, staged coil technology, patented filters, and integration with CoolPhase Condenser units via the Liebert iCOM control system. This consolidation into a single strategy aims to allow for intelligent optimisation of performance, flexibility, and efficiency.

Vertiv's thermal chain solutions, including the CoolPhase Perimeter PAM, are supported by a global service organisation. This aims to ensure comprehensive support throughout the equipment lifecycle, from initial design and deployment to ongoing optimisation, supporting reliability through deployment and routine maintenance.
