Aalberts Integrated Piping Systems (IPS) is approaching the centenary of its “Apollo” Valves brand. Known for its focus on American manufacturing and engineering, “Apollo” continues to be recognised for reliability in flow control.

Originating in the early 1900s, “Apollo” has grown from a regional valve manufacturer into a globally recognised brand. Its reputation is built on consistent performance, durability and system integrity across residential, commercial, industrial and utility sectors.

The brand’s legacy is reflected in its extensive and evolving product portfolio, which includes ball valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves and other specialised products. Key offerings include the “Apollo” Press and “Apollo” PowerPress lines, which provide flame-free installation and Leak Before Press technology, allowing for secure and efficient installation.

The “Apollo” SmartPress range further extends these capabilities with patented smart sealing elements and Visu-Control features, designed for high-precision applications, particularly in stainless steel systems.

The manufacturing framework is vertically integrated and focused on domestic investment, particularly at the South Carolina facilities, where design, casting, machining, heat treatment, assembly and testing are coordinated to maintain quality and delivery standards.

The Mosack family, including long-time leader Cal Mosack, has played a key role in shaping “Apollo”’s approach to product integrity and manufacturing discipline.

Their leadership has reinforced the brand’s reliability and accountability to engineers and contractors worldwide, particularly for mission-critical applications.
