RS Group has announced that it has become a Platinum Partner of the UK Data Centre Alliance (DCA). The company, which provides global industrial products and solutions, stated that the partnership reflects increased engagement with the data centre sector.

The DCA is an industry organisation focused on supporting development within the data centre sector. The UK is described as a major market in this field, with more than 500 active data centre facilities. These facilities are estimated to contribute around £4.7 billion in annual gross value added, with projections indicating further growth by 2035.

RS Group has indicated that it aims to support operational efficiency in data centre environments. As part of its Platinum Partner status, it contributes APIs, components, and information intended to assist with improving uptime and reducing downtime in critical operations.

An industry sector manager at RS Group stated that data centre teams require support that includes both product supply and understanding of operational conditions in the sector.

The DCA also functions as a forum for sharing best practices and supporting industry research and development. It is additionally involved in educational activity and in engaging with policymakers regarding the role of data centres in the digital economy.

Looking ahead, the collaboration between RS Group and the DCA is expected to involve continued coordination around supply chains and sector development during periods of industry growth.
