Paris Community Hospital, a full-service emergency medical, surgery and rehabilitation hospital in Illinois, has implemented Scale Computing's HC3 platform to underpin its Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution. Working with partner Leostream, the new solution has improved the performance and efficiency of the hospital’s entire IT infrastructure.

Panasas has received a new round of private equity investment led by the investing arm of KEWA Financial, a U.S. insurance company, and Dowroc Partners, a private investment fund comprised of investment professionals with expertise in storage technology, energy, and cloud computing. The investment will fund ongoing technology and product development and also support expansion into new markets, as well as the exploration of OEM relationships. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
T-Systems is providing customers with a managed services offering for VMware Cloud on AWS. Together with its long-standing partner, VMware, the Deutsche Telekom IT service provider is connecting clients’ private clouds with VMware Cloud on AWS. The agreement was signed by Pat Gelsinger, CEO, VMware, and Adel Al-Saleh, CEO, T-Systems at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Veeam Software says that Insight Venture Partners has invested $500 million with strong participation from strategic investor Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) to accelerate the next phase of Veeam’s growth as the No.1 provider of Data Management solutions for the public and private cloud. Veeam Software has re-structured its executive team, promoting Andrei Baronov to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In addition to Co-Founder Mr. Baronov’s promotion, Ratmir Timashev, Veeam’s other Co-Founder, becomes Executive Vice President (EVP), WW Sales and Marketing, with William Largent assuming the role of Executive Vice President (EVP), Operations. Both Mr. Timashev and Mr. Largent will report to the CEO.
