Ark moving on to pastures new

Ark, the provider of the UK’s most efficient data centres, has moved premises as they expand their operation.

Leaving Hartham Park, their home for the past six years, the team has relocated to their own Data Centre Campuses in Wiltshire and Hampshire.
Spring Park, just a few miles from Hartham Park, in Corsham will become the main centre of operations. Employees located nearer to London, will work from Cody Park in Farnborough or St James Square in London, which will reduce the sustainable company’s carbon footprint still further by reducing transportation impact and fuel costs.

Steve Webb, COO of Ark says, “The move is good for Ark and the environment, all staff are happy with the changes and have established themselves in the new office space within the data centres. Whilst Hartham Park was a wonderful setting with its Georgian Mansion and estate, the practicalities of being situated on our own campuses has improved everyday business activities.”

As Ark acquire further sites across the country to build out their portfolio, they will adopt the same principles. Local staff will be employed to ensure environmental efficiencies across the company, not just within the energy efficient data centre facilities themselves.

Huw Owen CEO, added, “Ark is transforming. A year on from recapitalisation, 11 months since I joined, and we have seen great progress. We have come together as a team to deliver new facilities, been nominated for more awards, joined the Government G Cloud framework, launched a new website and sales campaigns. Now we move offices, resettle and embrace the changes together for the next phase of our journey.”
