Talend to support Teradata Data Warehouse as a Service

Talend is now supporting Data Warehouse as a Service (DWaaS) from Teradata (NYSE: TDC), the leading analytic data platforms, applications and services company. The Talend Platform for Big Data caters to companies seeking a cloud-based data warehouse solution over on-premises solutions.

“Talend is proud to be chosen for the Teradata DWaaS initiative, underscoring the value and rich functionality Talend delivers consistently and reliably," said François Chiche, Talend’s vice president of channels & alliances.

Priced with a monthly payment model and already chosen by a major supermarket chain, the Talend Platform for Big Data brings a rich set of integration capabilities to Teradata DWaaS customers. Among these capabilities are ETL/ELT, data integration and data quality – both for relational platforms and big data environments such as Hadoop – which allows customers to easily integrate data from any source into the DWaaS. Talend solutions are certified on the latest version of the Teradata platform.

“The Teradata DWaaS solution is designed to give organizations a data warehousing solution that does not require extensive resources or capital investments,” said Ed White, general manager, Teradata Cloud Solutions, Teradata. “We chose Talend as one of our partners for the Teradata DWaaS initiative based on its proven capabilities, flexibility and cost-effective structure – all benefits we can pass on to our customer base.”
