Atlantis Computing is the recipient of the prestigious Colt Technology Services 2013 Supplier Award in the 'Innovation' category. The annual Colt Supplier Awards recognise the company's suppliers for their commitment and contribution to the organisation's business objectives.

Atlantis Computing is an award-winning, fast growing company with hundreds of mission critical implementations in banking, healthcare, insurance, retail, energy, service, education, Telco and government sectors throughout the globe. Atlantis Computing provides software-only solutions supporting any server or storage environment, purpose-built to solve the performance, cost, and deployment risks inherent in virtualised datacentres.

Atlantis Computing award winning solutions also simplify the deployment and operationalisation of any project at any scale. Atlantis ILIO software delivers sophisticated, high performance, large scale provisioning technology that can be integrated with existing systems. The solution also offers automation to deliver deployments quickly, and simplifies the implementation and management of projects. Deployments are simplified with less storage to install and manage, less network storage traffic to handle, less servers to deploy and fewer racks to install. Deployments are further de-risked with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. Atlantis ILIO reduces operational expenses while significantly reducing storage capital expenses, delivering the lowest cost virtual desktops with better than PC performance.

“We are proud to receive this prestigious award and look forward to continuing to support Colt’s expansion of its VDI cloud implementation for its direct customers with the critical software optimisation layer that Atlantis ILIO provides” stated Bernard Harguindeguy, CEO of Atlantis Computing. “Service providers and internal IT departments alike are looking for proven solutions to solve the challenges of storage in virtualised environments. Solving this problem at the source, in the hypervisor, with purpose-built software, is an approach that fundamentally changes the economics of storage in virtualised environments while reducing the risks of deployment at scale.”

“What started out as part of an internal VDI project to deliver the performance and user experience the business demanded, but at a commercially viable cost, has evolved into what is generally regarded as one of the very best VDI services available today” said Gideon Wilkins, Director Partner Management, Colt Technology Services. “Atlantis Computing works hand in hand with Colt to identify and jointly engage on end user sales opportunities and is now about to revolutionise server based performance in 2014.”
