Intercity Networks has selected Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator as its cloud management platform. Chosen for its rapid deployment options and flexibility, Intercity will use Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator to resell cloud services across South America and to offer self-service, a la carte cloud services to customers.
Based in Santiago de Chile, Intercity is a boutique datacenter for medium-sized companies that require IT services globally, as well as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) partners for its accounting applications and invoicing packages. Awarded Hosting Partner of the year for Latin America and Caribbean in 2011, Intercity wanted to penetrate a broader customer base. To do this, it needed resellers to sell its services across the entire region, moving away from its traditional boutique, customer-by-customer approach. With this in mind, the company started looking at ways it could produce a virtual datacenter.
Director of Intercity, Claudio Stifel said, “When we first began looking at ways to deliver this we evaluated several tools from main manufactures, however Flexiant offered us an excellent alternative. We are now able to integrate the platform with our existing invoicing system as well as track up to the minute data consumption. The Flexiant service delivery team also helped us deploy the software remotely, rapidly and very efficiently.”
Stifel continued, “Using the Control Panel in Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator, we can have resellers all along the South American continent using our infrastructure and selling our cloud services. We can also now offer self-service cloud services off the shelf as well as continuing to develop a la carte services according to a particular customer’s specifications.”
