LDeX Group fixes power pricing for colocation & network services until 2017

LDeX Group has secured energy pricing at its LDeX 1 facility until 2017.

Commenting on the news, Patrick Doyle, COO & Co-Founder of LDeX Group, said: “In these uncertain economic times, we believe fixing the cost of energy until 2017 will offer our current and prospective clients peace of mind and operational cost guarantees that are important when running energy intensive server and storage infrastructure. With power and cooling for a typical Data Centre accounting for over 60% of costs, this move will allow us to fix pricing for clients’ power consumption, racks and network services while wholesale energy markets are particularly volatile. ”

Continuing, Doyle commented “We see this as a chance for enterprise clients operating tight business models as well as those service providers from the Cloud, Hosting, Managed services & SaaS sector who operate on competitive margins, the opportunity to offer their internal stakeholders and end-users/clients some guarantees around OPEX and end-user pricing for a relatively long period of time.”

The move reinforces LDeX’s commitment to best-practice around Energy Management through its’ ISO50001 certification, 100% renewable energy use and Industry leading PUE levels.
