Phoenix’s Cloud computing services chosen for Government GCloud V framework

Phoenix has been confirmed as a supplier for the RM1557v, the Government’s procurement framework for Cloud computing services.

G-Cloud V is to be the fifth round of procurement to the Government’s G-Cloud framework and Phoenix will be offering a portfolio of products and services to it. These include Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service, and Specialist Cloud services.

Increasingly, more and more public sector organisations are exploring and exploiting the benefit of the Cloud via the G-Cloud framework – in using the framework, public sector organisations can more easily access the newest and most innovative Cloud services. This simplified process makes it easier for suppliers to provide these services, which in turn gives the public sector organisations far greater choice.

At the end of last year, Phoenix launched CloudSure UK, an off-the-shelf next-generation enterprise class infrastructure that delivers IT resources as a service, and last week won BT ICT partner of the year for its Managed Services division both of which highlight Phoenix’s commitment and investment in the growing Cloud industry.
Tim Bodill, Director of Phoenix MS Division says: “We have always been a firm believer in the G-Cloud framework and we will use our presence to demonstrate our experience and strength, by providing public sector organisations with access to an array of trusted Cloud services.”
