Getting intelligent about threats

Emerging Threats is now making it threat intelligence database portal service, IQRisk Query, widely available

Security threat intelligence specialist, Emerging Threats, has announced the general availability of its IQRisk Query Web-based Portal. This allows IT security professionals and incident responders to take immediate action on malicious or potentially malicious IP addresses and domains.

IQRisk Query is based upon Emerging Threats’ process of global data collection from its own proprietary systems, as well as from their proprietary analysis of over 100 million malware samples. With this daily infusion of data, the company’s threat intelligence library of current and historical information forms a significant resource.

The threat intelligence database contains over 19,000 rules, over 100 million malware samples and hundreds of millions of IP addresses and domains. The company claims it can deliver one of the most comprehensive, verified and validated threat intelligence datasets available. It is designed to enable IT security and incident responders to obtain the latest information on malicious or potentially malicious IP addresses and domains within seconds.

Its features include a robust and intuitive web based GUI provides easy access to the largest and most comprehensive threat intelligence database with up to four years of historical and contextual threat data, over 40 categories of reputation and up to date scores to identify and prioritize high-risk or malicious IP addresses and domains,

It is said to be easy to search by IP address, domain and MD5 Hash. It is available as a Web-based portal and/or RESTful API for integration into a SIEM. It also provides a complete view of the threat landscape and full context by providing detailed data to answer the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How on hundreds of millions of IP addresses and Domains.

As the increase in frequency and complexity of malware and other malicious attacks have risen, it is imperative for IT security professionals to quickly identify the threat and mitigate the risk. IQRisk Query delivers actionable threat intelligence to help ensure networks are safe from malicious and potentially malicious threats.

Emerging Threats delivers a complete product portfolio of threat intelligence products and solutions for the OEM and enterprise/SMB market. The company’s IQRisk Suite is a convenient, full-featured bundled set of threat intelligence products – ETPro Ruleset, IQRisk Rep List and IQRisk Query.

“Emerging Threats’ focus over the last few years has been on our ETPro Ruleset and IQRisk Rep List products,” said Matt Jonkman, Founder and CTO of Emerging Threats. “With over a decade of collecting valuable threat intelligence data, we were challenged on how we could deliver this data in an intuitive and easy-to-integrate form factor. Our goal was to help IT security professionals and incident responders make quick and informative decisions in identifying malicious or potentially malicious IP addresses and domains. IQRisk Query API provides just that with an easily accessible Web-based portal featuring a robust intuitive GUI that provides comprehensive, actionable threat intelligence data.”
