CenturyLink appoints Richard Warley as EMEA managing director

CenturyLink has appointed Richard Warley as managing director for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations. Warley’s responsibilities in this role include developing sales strategy, driving revenue growth and owning client relationships, as well as directing overall CenturyLink business in EMEA.

Warley joins CenturyLink from IPsoft, a provider of autonomic and cognitive solutions, where he held the position of chief executive officer. Warley also previously served as CEO of KVH, a Tokyo-based company specialising in data centre, cloud, network and IT services. Prior to IPsoft and KVH, Warley held senior roles at Savvis between 2000 and 2008, including the position of international managing director.

“Richard’s addition to the international leadership team underscores CenturyLink’s commitment to serving the technology needs of multinational corporations,” said James Parker, senior vice president, partner, financial and international, at CenturyLink. “He is perfectly placed to leverage our expertise in network, cloud, colocation and managed services, and position us as the partner of choice for companies that are looking to thrive in the world of hybrid IT.”

“I believe CenturyLink has the most ambitious vision and the most comprehensive set of capabilities of any global hybrid cloud provider,” Warley said. “Our portfolio includes a global fiber network and data centre footprint, managed services capabilities and a public cloud that rivals any other in the market, all delivered through a single point of contact. The breadth of services offered is a market-winning combination for current and future CenturyLink customers.”
