Coreix announced as key managed hosting and connectivity partner of (BDX) Brighton Digital Exchange

BDX to offer Brighton businesses enhanced connectivity in the local region.

Coreix has become a key partner of the Brighton Digital Exchange (BDX) where it will look to provide best in class colocation, network connectivity and dedicated managed hosting solutions to enterprises in the local region. With support from BDUK and the government, BDX uses a co-operative model to provide smaller digital businesses and service providers with direct access to high-quality digital infrastructure, offering them new ways to add value, innovate and collaborate.

The London based managed hosting provider is one of seven founder members that have commissioned a state-of-the-art server hosting facility at the heart of the city’s thriving New England Quarter. Up to 90 businesses based in New England House will now be able to directly connect to the facility over fibre connections, and providers can use the facility as a neutral PoP to connect to businesses across the city. As such, Coreix will look to enhance access to network bandwidth via direct connections to its robust and diverse metro fibre ring along with colocation and dedicated managed hosting services over the coming years.

Commenting on the initiative, Paul Davies, Technical Director at Coreix, said: "We are delighted to be able to offer best in class managed hosting solutions locally to companies in Brighton. It will also enable them to experience ultra-fast low latency fibre connectivity enhancing business operations in the region via direct connections to our diverse metro Ethernet fibre ring."

He added: "This will enable our business to extend its network reach and datacentre footprint while enhancing business connectivity in the local region."

Shaun Fensom, secretary of the Brighton Digital Exchange Co-operative, also commented: “The Brighton Digital Exchange initiative shows how digital businesses and service providers can work collaboratively to enhance the raw digital infrastructure available, to mutual advantage and with benefits for the whole city. As a founding member of the BDX, Coreix has to date provided the project with enthusiasm, valued support and expertise and we look forward to working with the team going forward."
