Huawei and TBR jointly release “Operator Cloud Transformation” whitepaper

Huawei and TBR, a leading global technology research and advisory firm, have jointly released an Operator Cloud Transformation whitepaper at the 2015 Huawei Global Service Forum. The paper highlights that the data center is becoming the foundation of operator ICT transformation, and that operators should choose an integrator having both CT and IT experience as transformation partner.

TBR researched on global operators and found that most face slowing growth in the traditional telecom sector and are looking for new growth through ICT transformation based on data center business. TBR also sees cloud transformation as an important step in the process for operators to develop more agile and creative business models, to optimize cost and improve efficiency. In the whitepaper, Huawei and TBR jointly describe an operator data-center cloud maturity model and also offer assessment guidance. The whitepaper also defines key competency models required for each stage of transformation.

“Data center is the information hub and supporting facilities. A new generation of data centers is set to become an important asset for operators to leverage to develop innovative new business models,” said Michael Wang, General Manager of Data Center Integration Services, Global Technical Service Department at Huawei.

Huawei’s data center integrator service offers primary integration capabilities, including: consulting, design, implementation, business migration, operation management for facilities, and IT solutions. Huawei is committed to becoming a long-term strategic partner for operators. The aim is to help operators succeed in ICT transformation, move to a collaborative cloud platform, and develop a strong data center business to improve E2E business quality and enhance the user experience.
