Next Connex has announced the strengthening of its long-term partnership with City Lifeline by becoming the first customer in the London data centre’s new Shoreditch Data Hall.

Next Connex has filled the first two racks inside City Lifeline’s new data hall and expects to realise its strong growth ambitions by doubling in size over the next two years; challenging itself to be the company securing the highest percentage of racks in the new hall.

As a neutral wholesale network connectivity provider, Next Connex offers its customers impartial advice on data centre space to ensure optimum speed and latency for a client’s overall solution. This data hall expansion will provide Next Connex’s growing customer base with more capacity to expand, while offering new clients the opportunity to select City Lifeline for its professionalism, technical excellence, and City of London location.

The partnership also provides considerable benefits for City Lifeline customers, who can use the Next Connex core network to connect directly to all major public cloud providers, further boosting security and reliability.

Sam Field, sales director for Next Connex says, “We’re thrilled to strengthen our partnership with City Lifeline by becoming the first customer in the newly opened Shoreditch Data Hall. Our customers opt for City Lifeline not just because of its proven capabilities in providing secure and reliable connectivity, but its London location in the heart of Tech City also provides low latency and easy access. More than that, City Lifeline is a well established, professional company and our customers are always impressed when they visit the facility."

City Lifeline was the first data centre to partner with Next Connex, shortly after the wholesale connectivity and network infrastructure provider was founded in 2010.

Sam Field says, "It is essential for us to join forces with companies that share our ambition to grow alongside the expanding technology landscape. City Lifeline is therefore an ideal partner, particularly being based in Tech City - the fastest growing digital hub in the world."

Roger Keenan, managing director of City Lifeline says, “As the complexity of the digital world continues to grow, it has become more important than ever to offer customers a secure and reliable service. Our new Shoreditch Data Hall will see us eventually quadruple our power capacity over the next four years and will play a key role in further improvements to our service offering.

“We’re proud to announce Next Connex as our first customer in the new data hall and through our mutual business support we expect to achieve business growth for both City Lifeline and Next Connex.”
