DataCentred has partnered with Versutus, one of the fastest growing data storage virtualisation and disaster recovery specialists in the UK.

The partnership will enable Versutus to provide its enterprise customers with a cost-effective, scalable and highly secure white-labelled IaaS solution powered by DataCentred’s UK-owned and operated OpenStack cloud platform. Versutus’ enterprise customers, which range from FTSE companies to SMEs, will have the ability to spin up OpenStack public or private clouds instantly.  DataCentred's OpenStack cloud platform is entirely hosted and operated within the UK

In turn, DataCentred will broaden its range of services and solutions by offering Versutus’ market-leading copy data virtualisation, data back-up and disaster recovery solution, vCloud, providing improved business continuity to its own customers. Powered by Actifio, vCloud enables enterprises to free up massive unused capacity in computing, releasing their data from legacy physical infrastructure, and to recover data – from a file to full production-data – within an hour, with up to 80% cost savings.  IDC estimates that up to 75% of storage is consumed by copy data; Actifio is the world leader in Copy Data Management – the idea of keeping one golden copy of the data and making it available across the company without needing to store a separate copy for each use.  Versutus is Actifio’s Partner of the Year.
Dr Mike Kelly, CEO of DataCentred said:“Versutus’ data management and disaster recovery solution is best in class, offering enterprises highly efficient and cost effective business continuity.  We are delighted to enable its IaaS offering, powered by our unique UK-operated OpenStack platform. Equally, by broadening our range of services to include Versutus’ vCloud, our own customers will benefit from a high-speed data recovery service, whether it be a file, database or production environment across a single platform with multiple functionality. With data storage becoming increasingly difficult for enterprises to manage, Versutus has succeeded in reducing costs, eliminating complexity and breaking down operational barriers and we look forward to working with Versutus to deliver this solution to our customer base.”
Thomas Stirling, CEO of Versutus said: “Versutus has a track record in delivering data back-up and disaster recovery solutions that facilitate the growth of enterprises worldwide. We are committed to working with the best providers in the industry and DataCentred is no exception. Its highly secure, scalable OpenStack platform will enable our enterprise customers to cost effectively manage their fluctuating data requirements across our cloud platform, while giving them highly flexible and cost effective access to the best IT vendors. As enterprises continually seek solutions to the challenges associated with exploding data growth, we are confident that DataCentred’s OpenStack IaaS platform will meet our customers’ expectations in terms of flexibility, cost and security.”
