Dataguise, a technology leader in secure business execution, has expanded its international operations with the opening of offices in London and the appointment of Ron Miles as vice president of international sales.
While Dataguise already collaborates with partners and customers around the world, the key functions of the London office will be sales and pre-sales support of the company’s business throughout EMEA. Additionally, it will provide support for all Dataguise customers working within the legal framework of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) throughout the European Union.
"GDPR changes the game for any company dealing in the personal data of EU citizens," said Duncan Brown, research director, European Security, IDC. "Firms will struggle to be compliant within two years without the assistance of technology, and so we expect a major boost to security and storage sales in areas supporting compliance."
“I am thrilled to be joining Dataguise at such an exciting time of growth for the organization and look forward to amplifying that success across EMEA,” said Miles. “The expansion of Dataguise into the region, which traditionally has been reliant on less effective solutions for the protection of sensitive data, represents a significant opportunity. I am excited to grow with the company and bring to customers in this market the most advanced detection, protection and monitoring solution for sensitive data.”
Previously, Ron Miles was managing director of the UK and Ireland at RSA, where he supported a product portfolio that included authentication, fraud and risk, identity, and RSA Advanced Security Operations Center (ASOC) lines of business. Prior to his role as managing director, he served as a director for RSA UK & Ireland where he developed and implemented channel programs and strategies.
“International expansion is the next logical step of our growth plan, following the tremendous
momentum we achieved over the past 12 months,” said Manmeet Singh, CEO, Dataguise. “Ron’s impressive track record in security and compliance throughout EMEA make his appointment extremely complementary and supportive to our international efforts. We look forward to having him on our team as we establish operations in the region and grow our presence worldwide.”
