Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute available at Interxion's London campus

INTERXION HOLDING NV says that customers can now access Microsoft Azure and Office 365 via ExpressRoute from its London campus. Interxion’s customers in London can now benefit from improved security, reliability, throughput and performance when accessing Microsoft Azure and Office 365.

Connections to Microsoft ExpressRoute are delivered through Interxion’s Cloud Connect service. Cloud Connect is a cloud access platform that enables customers to build and manage private links to multiple clouds through a single, secure connection delivered through real-time provisioning. The service offers an easy, secure and cost-effective way for customers to build hybrid IT architectures, leveraging the benefits of the Azure cloud for CPU and memory intensive operations, as well as Interxion’s highly secure, local data centres for demanding I/O workloads.
TIG, a UK-based Microsoft service provider of cloud services, unified communications and infrastructure solutions, is one of the Interxion customers to adopt this service. George Georgiou, Sales Director at TIG, commented, “Interxion’s Cloud Connect service allows us to establish secure, high performance connections to Microsoft Azure, enabling us to deliver the service levels that our customers demand. ExpressRoute capabilities present a strong selling point, as TIG is building out new services build around Azure and Office 365.”
Ross Ortega, Principle Product Manager, Azure Networking, Microsoft added, “We are pleased to continue expanding the ExpressRoute relationship with Interxion so that enterprise customers now can take advantage of Interxion’s data centre services in London and Amsterdam to get private network connectivity to Microsoft cloud services.”
Vincent in’ t Veld, Strategy and Marketing Director, Cloud Segment at Interxion commented, “As adoption of hybrid cloud increases so does the need for low latency, high performance and security-enhanced connections to the key cloud providers. As part of our strategic partnership with Microsoft, the addition of Azure to our London Campus represents a major milestone in our plan to provide customers with ultra-reliable access to the leading cloud platforms.”
